Changes to fiscal law in Serbia

The fiscal law was introduced in Serbia back in 2010. Three years later it was time for it to be reviewed and changed if necessary by the Serbian fiscal authorities . Based on very positive experiences from neighboring Croatia it was decided to implement a similar concept in Serbia.

The basis of the concept is for every transaction to be sent to the fiscal authority and online approval to be received for it. Via this approach one can immediately check whether the transaction was reported to the fiscal authorities or not. After this decision there was a public tender for the supplier of the central fiscal server.  This part of the solution is in the hands of the fiscal authority and provides the necessary interfaces for all POS systems across the country. Every POS will need an online connection to the server and implementation of the interface according to the law. The next step will be to define the interfaces. Since the interface can be almost the same as in Croatia, its definition can be done very quickly and we expect it to be finished as early as January next year.
This new approach will totally change the situation with regard to fiscal printers, as these become obsolete. There will be no monopoly and the market will regulate itself just as it should.
We are sure that this change to law will be implemented at the beginning of next year since the new state revenue is already included in the budget for next year.
Service Plus has installed more than 1000 POS in Croatia using their fiscal solution. This huge installed base is ensuring the quality and functionality of this solution.
This solution can be easily reused in Serbia. In addition, in order to ease the migration from the existing fiscal solution to the new one Service Plus has already created very attractive packages containing an optional new receipt printer, customer display and the necessary fiscal software  solution.
